Extend the range of 433MHz RF nodes, e.g. emonTH temperature sensors.
When using the JeeLink module as a RF Range Extender (or Repeater) to relay the radio packet, it pretends to be a Base node (ID=5) when receiving, but it takes on the identity of the original node to re-transmit the radio packet. Thus no changes should need to be made to the hardware or software of the Base node of the installation (the emonPi or emonBase) by reason of adding the Range Extender.
The USB port is only used to supply power in normal use. However, serial data is available on the USB connector, which might be useful while setting up the system to determine the best location for the repeater.
Requires a USB power source (not included)
Based on a Jeelink with RF Repeater Firmware
Note: RF repeater requires both the transmitter and receiver nodes to be running Low Power Labs (LPL) firmware, this has been the default firmware since the beginning of 2023. See firmware overview
